Our mission is to organize the world financial information. We are building an AI Equity Research Analyst for institutional investors. We believe that chat-based interfaces are the future of the web because it's easier to ask a question and get an answer than to search for keywords and read dozens of pages.

Fintool is a financial copilot for public equity investors. Fintool is engineered to discover financial insights beyond the reach of timely human analysis. Fintool helps summarizing long annual reports, compute numbers and find new insights by comparing years of filings.

We are one of the fastest-growing LLM applications, and thousands of investors have signed up for Fintool. We are at the forefront of revolutionizing how information is organized, consumed, and created, and we would love to work with you!

Company values

Clone and improve the best: we're not about reinventing the wheel but about enhancing proven success. We are shameless cloners who stand on the shoulders of giants. It's about mastering the best of what other people have already figured out. We draw inspiration and then create differentiation because distinctiveness drives dominance.

Release early, release often, and listen to your customers: speed matters in business, so we push better-than-perfect updates for customers asap. Mastery comes from repeated experiments and learning from mistakes rather than putting in a set number of hours. It’s 10,000 iterations, not 10,000 hours.

Warren Buffett: We model our personal and professional ethos on the principles he exemplifies. Upholding integrity, valuing honesty, practicing frugality, championing lifelong learning, embracing humility, extending generosity, applying rationality, and demonstrating patience. Every day, we strive to mirror these Buffett-inspired virtues.

Interview Process

Interview Process

We move fast; the entire process can be completed in less than a week. The first step is a 30-minute Zoom screening with either the CTO or the CEO to ensure that you have deep expertise and that we are on the same page regarding how we work.

Next, we conduct 2 hours of in-person interviews: one hour focused on technical brainstorming about our challenges and another hour discussing our business challenges. There is also plenty of time for open conversation and addressing your questions.

If possible, we then prefer candidates to spend two days with us to get a better sense of the team and the work we do. We compensate you for these two days.

Lastly, we conduct reference checks by contacting three of your references, including colleagues and managers, to get a better understanding of your work and how you collaborate with others.

FAQ

FAQ

Do you hire remote? No, we work in-person 5 days a week. We believe high-performing teams do their best work and have the most fun in-person. We love brainstorming, shipping and laughing together so much to spend our day in boring Zooms.

Did you raise money? Fintool is backed by Y Combinator as well as angel/entrepreneurs such as the co-founders of Vercel, Datadog, HuggingFace, or domain experts from OpenAI to Deepmind. We have several years of runway. We do not communicate on the amount we raised. We think it's a vanity metrics and we always prioritize frugality and profitability. We believe that constraints often spur creativity, and an excess of funds can be a pitfall for many startups.

Why will Fintool succeed? While success is never a given we believe we are operating in a very large market where the LLM revolution is a massive tailwind. By keeping our team small, avoiding raising a stupid amount of money and continuing building a highly differentiated product we believe we have a good shot at creating a large company.

Do you provide any healthcare benefits? we cover medical, dental and vision.
